Visit the store: CLICK HERE!

Items are available for purchase to be picked up at the WGA Campout event at Hartman Creek State Park. Any proceeds from sales will help fund the Campout event costs and general operating costs of the Wisconsin Geocaching Association.

NOTE: Items may be purchased from the store until May 1. Campout fees may be payed for until Thursday, May 19.

** Items featured in the store will not be shipped **

Some of these items will be available for sale at the event in limited quantities and sizes if you do not pre-order online but to reserve your items and ensure you get the items you want, please order now! WGA apparel and Groundspeak item sales will only be open for a limited time to allow for processing time.

The following items are offered in the store:

Campout Event Apparel - T-shirts, Sweatshirts, and "Hoodie" Sweatshirts designed by WGA member BakRdz. New this year, 2 colors are available for most items and sizes.

Campout Event Pathtag - New this year, the WGA will be producing limited edition event Pathtags for each of the major WGA events. The campout Pathtag was designed by Freak Designs (WGA board member sweetlife).

Group Site Camping Fees - In order to camp on the group site, please order and pre-pay using the WGA store. Note: Each night is a separate item in the store. If you're not camping on the group site, you do not need to purchase these items. Attending the event activities is free.

Groundspeak Items - You can purchase some of the same items currently available in the Groundspeak store but without the shipping costs! If there is a Groundspeak item that you would like that isn't in the store, email webmaster<at>wi-geocaching.com.

2010 WGA Geocoins - We still have a small inventory of the Wisconsin state-shaped Geocoins available. Get one before they run out!

Username Problems Comment Printer Friendly Send to a Friend

WGA Webmaster writes:

If your username contains an apostrophe (') or an amphersand (&), you will not be able to log in to the WGA web-site correctly. We are working to fix the problem, but it will take some time.

If you would like to be able to login to the website, send an email to webmaster (at) wi-geocaching (dot) com. Don't forget to include your username in the message. I will take out or replace the characters in your username that are causing problems. When the problem is fixed, I will be happy to change your username back if you wish.

Website Update More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend

WGA Webmaster writes:

We’ve added a new look and some cool new features.

Social Bookmarking and Social Networking
One of the first things that you might notice is the addition of “Social Networking” icons in different areas. For instance, if you are a FaceBook user, you can click the  icon at the bottom of this article to create and share a link to this article on Facebook.

Re-organized Information Center
Information on geocaching and the WGA, presentations and other downloadable files are easier to find in the Information Center.

RSS Feeds
Even though the WGA website has had RSS feeds, they are now easily found on the main menu. You can subscribe to one of our feeds and have it delivered to your favorite feed reader such as Outlook. There are currently feeds for News, Events and the Photo Gallery.

Everything Else
All of the familiar functions have been retained including Cache of the Month, the Lonely Cache Game and Recent Logs.

The website committee has worked hard to keep things the same, while allowing us to more easily add functionality in the future.

Cache of the Month Changes Comment Printer Friendly Send to a Friend
Website Work
WGA Webmaster writes:
Starting October 1st, you will notice some changes to the Cache of the Month voting page. The most notable change is that there are separate polls for five different zones. We chose to use the same zones used by the WDNR. Each zone is very closely matched in population density and cache density. You may nominate or vote for a cache in any or all five zones. We have also added a Series of the Month poll. Series of the Month is statewide. There have been a few changes made to the rules. 1. A cache is not eligible to be nominated until 90 days after it has been published. 2. You must have found and logged the cache to be able to vote for that cache. All of the changes are based on suggestions made by WGA members in the forums. We hope the changes make the COTM a little more fun and interesting.

A number of resolutions were passed by the Board over the last few weeks that resulted in changes to the WGA forums. These were "batched" up and introduced en masse on December 21st. A number of new forums were introduced, a couple forums were archived, and several existing private leadership forums were added to the forum listing.

Generic Geocache Notification Form Comment Printer Friendly Send to a Friend
Website Work
Anonymous writes:
Thanks to the combined efforts of the Community Education and Website Committees, the WGA now has a generic geocache notification form available for everyone to use. It is in both pdf and Word format and can be found at the "Hiding A Cache" link in the main menu. Hiding A Cache AuntieNae has presented this form at her Wisconsin Parks Department talk and it was well received there. It is our hope that this will provide a standard that most of the county and city parks will be able to use, rather than have lots of different ones created by all the different parks departments out there. Please use it whenever you are placing a cache in an area that does not already have its own notification procedure as found on the Hiding A Cache page.
