Sitting here cooling my heals trying to figure out what roads will be open to head west. We were going to go through Minnesota but the flooding may keep us out.

Heading to Appleton soon for the D3 boys state baseball championship game...Oconto is attempting to repeat. Unfortunately, today's scheduled pitcher broke his wrist in the semi-final yesterday...was in my last class of 5th graders before I retired. Great kid...hate to see something like that happen.

We are getting to be such chickensh**s in our old age. There's a band that looks fun playing at a favorite venue tonight, but with this stupid stormy weather and flash flooding going on, we hesitate to set off. We have to travel down the coulees to get there....AKA the bottom of the valleys that are flooding.

Sigh.

We're open up here. Not sure how bad things get to the west though. They are talking about the St. Croix cresting flood stage over night.

The band is Under the Wilow. String band instrumentation, but it looks like they do cool stuff with those instruments.

We'll probably pass, unfortunately.

They are at Leo and Leona's in Bangor at 8:00. I am heading to see some accordion group at The Landing, beer garden in Wauwatosa.

Yup, that's them and that's the place. Trekkin's playing his own banjo instead and I'm trying to remember how to sew.

Have fun at your venue!

I have returned from Death's Door. Kept a weather eye out for pirates, knowing that they had been spotted in the past at places such as this one, but nary a sign of the braided bearded one (who actually has neither), or any other rascally rogues.

We did spot marc_54140 at a signpost yesterday, though, but he and his crew had left before we had the chance to turn around to palaver with them.
