I did an earth cache like that in FL where the distance from one jetty to the other had to be given. Using google maps, a car in the parking lot near it and the end of a flash drive, I got within 60 feet of the correct answer according to the CO.

Speaking of texting...

My younger daughter (3rd grade) had a substitute teacher yesterday. She said it was fun, she gave us the computers to play games while she texted all day.

Confirmed this with a few other parents this morning. Rolling Eyes

To top it off: Her teacher told the kids he was taking a mental health day to play golf in Sheboygan.

Reminds me of someone I used to work with. They got promoted and named teacher of the year.

We teach the Boy Scouts several methods of estimating distances, you might try the following link:http://www.mbcenter.org/pub/pdf/notes_estimation.pdf

Thanks!

Weather.com says there will be strong storms moving through the area about the same time the Packers should be making their pick. Any bets on how long the satellite will be out compared to when the Pack picks?

Wow, sounds like a great work ethic at that school. Meanwhile, one of the teachers I support was up most of the night working on parent gifts for mother's day.

Will you fit in a compression bag? If yes, I think it may work!

That's it. Enjoy!

Stink...and I'll be in Hawaii. But that's okay. A good reason for a motorcycle ride to one of my favorite parts of the state.

Six hours of hardcore birding. It was awesome! I left the camera behind, so of course I had warblers literally right in front of me...and staying there. Fourteen warbler species, five thrushes and a couple vireos, plus other stuff. That was my reward for getting that newsletter done last night.

Yeah weather? Storms after storms here. I missed getting the FTF on a multi this morning (to Zuma! no less) because the weather had me heading for cover (and work). Never went back afterwards, maybe some other time. The multi replaced the "Big Black Cache". Without going there, I can tell the terrain rating is spot on. It was pretty steep just getting to the BBC, forget about going to more than one waypoint in that stuff.
