I'm making cookies for a Christmas cookie exchange. I woke up early to bake them because I won't have time later. I finished up and am 8 short. Grrrrr!!!!!!! I guess I'll be doing some more baking after all. Sad

No TV this morning until I got out the ladder and cleaned the sticky white craphas off of the dish.
I started to think of a way to fasten a brush to my pole saw but this only happens about once a year so I guess the ladder will work. Don't want to knock the dish out of alignment.

You should put something on the dish so the snow slides right off. Perhaps apply a coat of Gulf Wax. I've done it to my snow shovel and it does the job when shoveling sticky wet snow.

The dish is on the roof and I like to keep off the roof in winter.
A summer application might wear off by winter.
Once or twice a year isn't too bad. A few years ago the snow was so deep on the roof that I had to get up there and dig out the dish, so it can be done.

Buy a can of PAM kitchen spray? Just a thought, no idea if it would work.

Armor-all

The face of the dish isn't smooth, I suspect that there is a reason for that.
I wouldn't want to get the dish all smooth and shiny and have the TV pictures just slide off. Laughing

I think that jar42 should keep climbing up that ladder to get rid of the snow on his satellite dish. He doesn't get enough exercise... Wink

Pretty foggy here! Going to get a nail removed from my tire before I have a flat out in the middle of nowhere!

Maybe things will heat up in the forums as things cool down outside.

I am so not Martha Stewart! I like cooking and experimenting and baking and preserving and all things food. But when it comes to "tablescaping" ....fuggedaboudit!

Myself and another lady have to host this annual ladies thing at church tomorrow night. My cohostess doesn't even like cooking, but is equally clueless about the decor stuff.

I decided to pull a bunch of nutcrackers I don't want from our rummage sale stash, throw some pine cones or something around them and call it good. Too bad we can't serve wine....lots of it! (Actually, we could, but there would be some tongues a' waggin').
