It was a great weekend in Eau Claire. Finally got a good start and ended up finishing 6th overall. Four more top ten finishes and I'm forced to move. So I guess I'll be slowing down from now on. Beccaday you must be a tick magnet because all I managed to get was two wood ticks.

I have retired my paint brush. Tomorrow it is the fabric bestowed upon us by sheep after a whole bunch of sanding........of course.

No caching for me this past weekend. I was racing in the firecracker mountain bike race at Lowes Creek. I walked through some long grasses and weeds while exploring and only had the two ticks. The Mosquitos weren't all that bad either unless one stopped on Skull in the middle of the forest.

I can walk through a patch of this stuff and I wouldn't affect me.

Poison Ivy didn't bother me when I was younger. It started affecting me 5 years ago when I got into poison ivy mixed with wild raspberry bushes. I had shorts on and my legs cut completely cut up and I'm guessing that gave the poison ivy a chance to get started. That required a trip to the doctor for some cream (which I still have and use) and a round of steroids.

CJ, did the pink look like this?

Pretty much exactly that color. Made the mistake of painting the ceiling the same color at the request of "someone". Then repainted the ceiling white 24 hours later.

Good luck if you ever have to paint over this and change the color to something else.

10:20 pm Sunday night excitement ... bird nest in the street light across the street started burning ... might there have been a short? Two big trucks, eight guys and they have to all stand around waiting for the power people to come turn off the power before they can make sure it won't burn any more.
