becca ... I have read that a deer tick is the size of a 12 point font period. I think I had one and it was the size of a sesame seed. So exactly how big are they and where did you get so many? Just want to make sure I stay far, far away from there.

So I got 2 different sizes of ticks on me last Thursday when we were at Black River Falls State Forest, I had thought that the smaller of the two were deer ticks. But today I got some very, very small ticks on me, like you described, so now I'm thinking that those are the deer ticks and the others were another kind. So today's deer ticks were picked up in Lowe's Creek County Park in Eau Claire.n Those little ones really freaked me out, they're so hard to see!
