Yea we have been in for a five years, and its only a small trickle that comes from one wall.. cinder block basement most likely just a crack I could fill - but the previous owners put Plywood up on the wall the water is coming from and i really dont want to know what is behind it :/

Why couldn't today have been tomorrow? Roads are dry right now.

Our prior house had some water seepage issues when we got heavy rains or sudden spring thaws. I eventually spent a few dollars for a concrete blade to put in the skilsaw and cut a narrow groove a couple of inches from the wall all the way toward the sump. Worked perfect to direct the water exactly where I wanted.

My only words of caution.
1) This is extremely messy and dusty to cut the concrete floor.
2) Rent a concrete saw - I ruined the skilsaw from all the dust and mud (adding water as directed to keep the blade cool creates mud) that flung around.

There were two ducks in the back yard when we arrived. This house is in the city of Milwaukee and there was a male and female mallard in the back yard. I bet you can guess what comes next. Water in the basement....still looking.

I had a pair of mallards in my backyard yesterday morning. I have NO sump pump and no standing water. They were enjoying a feast below the bird feeders.

Stunned to actually sign a log on a puzzle cache right after 'Todd300'. Could have sworn he refused to do Puzzle caches, but it's a myth! Never thought we'd see the day! Perhaps the CO's puzzling powers were just too irresistible. Smile Smile

Soooooooo tired. Dealing with all the whining is wearing me down. I don't know if it's the weather or what, but everybody seems to be complaining about everything today.
