No I did not go into the cemetery at night just to clear a log sheet. How do I know, from the message they sent me saying "Well I already got it so you going to delete my log?"
And knowing the past, why do you think I feared this scenario.
The part the part that burns me the most is that we were telling the groundskeeper that geocachers are respectable people and you wouldn't have to worry about anybody disrespecting the rules while looking for the cache. Well im sure everyone from here on out will be good, but really right off the bat? Almost wish they got caught, then maybe all caches in cemeterys would be banned forever. You know 1000s of cachers can be the best people you ever meet, but then that one bad apple sends the wrong message to the entire public and we get a bad wrap, for what, a FTF? Im just sick. |

Well, I don't know if this would work. But you could always put a combo lock on the cache. And once it's publish and permitted hour of search as arrived, post a note with the combo. |

You know, as far as I know, Trekkin' is the second worst FTF offender in this state, though it doesn't hold the appeal for him it did even a year or so ago. But even when he had "the fever," if he discovered upon arriving somewhere that it was after hours, he turned around and went home. He even has one LEO story based on making such a discovery and heading home.
The hounds will mostly admit that it's a meaningless stat anyway, and not worth risking violation tickets or smearing the name of the game. I'm sorry this happened, muggle b. It looks like an interesting cache to visit, so we'll have to keep it in mind for our next trip that way. |

Back from running around. The trip to the Rapids was uneventful, but we ran into some sticking precip about halfway there. For the trip home it was only wet roads.
Made it back in time for a potato bar fundraiser for lunch, picked up some meds, got the mail, bought our 2013 fishing licenses, frosted a cake. Time to check in on the drivel. |

Let's just say this.....after a week of working to dry things out in our basement, we really don't need more rain right now. Add to that that being out in the weather to try and stave off another basement flooding, Trekkin's flirting with pneumonia, since he was just getting over something that knocked him flat. The next person to talk about all the snow melting quickly around us risks being put to hard labor by us...or worse! We're more than ready to have winter move along, but not so fast that we're back where we were a few days ago.
I know these really aren't such big things, but we're so tired of one disaster after another lately. We thought the Lime Squeeze transmission had tanked yesterday, causing Trekkin' to perform an amazing ride around the block...in reverse...but it turned out that he may have messed up a gear momentarily, not knowing how to properly start the car. It's fine now....thank goodness. |
