No surprise to me and my Mac. The Cat's new toy didn't work for me. Zeroes. |

No star. I wore a K and a T, and I didn't wash windshield or check tire pressure (OK, maybe once in a while I did) |

I remember the day that we raised the price of regular gas (with lead) over $1.00 a gallon. People were wild! |

K&T, Ummmm. These days, that would be Kwik Trip, known for their ability to be FTR=First To Raise their prices in a given area. But doesn't seem like they've been around that long. Not Texaco, not Kickapoo, not Hudson, Erickson was popular in Point but that's not KT; What was that place by Judd's?, Clark, Western, no; any S&H offered? Auburndale used to have a Standard or DX but you weren't likely there yet. Hmmmm...... Musta been Kwik Trip, then, perhaps on Division in Point? Check the Oil? Sell some bananas? Such a mystery! |

I missed what happened to have this hayride come about, but it looks like a lot of fun!
We came home to discover a little boy who is throwing up and far less energetic than is typical. Poor kid. No fever, though. So just stomach crud. |

Another interesting evening:
1. The Mail carrier did not get here until 8:30 pm. I understand government employees take a long lunch, but I think this one overdid it a bit.
2. Water Main break a half block away. I just can't seem to fall asleep to the rhythmic sound of a jack hammer.
At least the car jackers did not decide to ditch their car and fire a couple of shots for the fun of it, like they did Sunday night.
I like the pics of the sleigh ride. I bet it was fun.
Spoke to soon, MPD just pulled a car over around the corner.
I paid $3.49 for a gallon this morning. |

7 inches.....I might have to see if the beast in the basement will start, after I take it outside and pour gas into it of course. |

Loved reading your reasoning on this. Kwik Trip opened their first store in 1965 ... I was 5 years old. I didn't move to Wisconsin until 1982. In 1986 KT expanded into North Central WI with their store in Marshfield, not in the same location that they are in now. I was hired to manage that store, and of course they installed state-of-the-art equipment for the time, which included the ability to program gas prices from the console inside the store. But since the store had not been built yet, I was sent to La Crosse for training (Losey Blvd). That's where I got my first opportunity to change gas prices manually. There were delays in opening the Marshfield store, so with 3 weeks of training, I was sent to Redgranite to train a new manager there ... talk about the blind leading the blind |
