I thought it was just a new battery. Is this like an upgrade from the Garmin 60 to the 62? Sure hope they didn't give you the eTrex 20 equivalent.

I'm thinking your recovery activity will involve a word that starts with a P and has a couple of Zs in it. |

This could be fun....
"Adams -- WINTER STORM WARNING:
Issued at: 1:29 PM CST on January 29, 2013, expires at: 6:00 PM CST on January 30, 2013
...Winter Storm Warning in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Wednesday... The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow...which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Wednesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
Rain will change over to snow this evening. There may also be a brief period of freezing rain and sleet between 9 PM and midnight. The heaviest snow will fall from after midnight into Wednesday morning. 6 to 9 inches of snow is expected.
Blowing snow is possible on Wednesday...especially in open areas and over the higher terrain...leading to reduced visibilities. Treacherous driving conditions are expected tonight into Wednesday due to a combination of the various precipitation types...lingering water on roadways freezing up...accumulating snow and then the blowing snow. The morning commute on Wednesday could be very difficult."
Ya think??? |

We were one of the few districts in the area that did not cancel or postpone school today. One of our buses slid into a ditch. No students were injured, but some were 30 - 50 minutes late getting to school. The secretary reported that she received many phone calls from angry parents, which she forwarded to the District Administrator. I'm thinking that we may have a cancellation tomorrow |

It's usually the rain rather than the snow when you visit here, Labrat. |

I "learned" that the units are permanently closed and sealed. Like everything, the new smaller and will last longer. 10-12 years. Who know how they will be improved in 10 years. |

Mom just had hers replaced, and at almost 90, they said she should be good forever now. |
