Spent the afternoon getting cooked out of the gunstand with my father-in-law. He neglected to tell me until he picked me up that I should dress light. I prepared for the weather with insulated overalls and heavy jacket. He picked me up wearing sweats and informed me he was just going to turn up the heater in the stand. The thermometer in his stand read 74 when I shed my jacket.
Let 4 doe pass and opted to come home empty handed (and extremely warm). |

Exactly. Archery season is so much more fun even if you don't get anything. |

I would love to hear the reasoning behind the decision to close. They could have delayed 2 hours and would have had plenty of time to clear the roads. |

I don't know about Menomonie, but we don't start late. Too many bus drivers have other jobs that they go to after they drop the kids off at school. We can't close early for the same reason. For us it is all or nothing. |

I guess the fact that we did get a foot of snow could be the reason. Yesterday we were only supposed to get 3-5 inches. |

Good thing it was really watered down hot chocolate that I somehow manage to spill in my tent while sleeping last night. How it found its way out of my sleeping bag I'm not really sure but it did. |
