Is she home yet? How did the surgery go? It seems like a long road ahead, but it goes by quickly if there are no complications. Work on the PT as much as is recommended. Do everything possible to prevent infections of any kind.
Jim, do what is needed for Linda, but encourage her to expand her activities as each day progresses. Have plenty of quiet stuff to keep yourself busy--reading, laptop, paperwork. Just be there as needed. Pretty soon she'll be doing a lot on her own.
We didn't have this to worry about, but be careful on the ice and snow. Hang on to railings and use all sorts of things to help keep balance. |
