I was thinking the same thing Jim. We could all converge on Hayward at the same time. |

You're at work? I have to leave shortly for Day 2 of pie eating. Hope the others can take up the slack.
Can't wait to hear if the DSK made it back OK, thanks to the Cheeze. |

I had pecan pie for breakfast and peach pie for lunch. All that's left now is pumpkin. |

Well it wasn't the way I wanted what could be my final Thanksgiving adventure but it is what it is. It's hard to believe that yesterday I was riding through the woods with the temps up in the 50's. Managed to get in a solid 44 miles with over half being on singletrack. Also managed to redeem myself on the fire tower hill and rode all the way up.
Snow started to fall around 6pm and so did the gusty winds. I did what I do best and built myself a little fort with a tarp, picnic tables, a bench, and some fishing line I found strung from a few trees set up like a tripline. I was then able to cook some food. But it was around 5pm after the cop situation that I rode to cheezeheads place of work to take him up on his offer. And the rest was history.
Woke up at 7:30 to a few more inches of snow on the ground and began to pack up for the 9am departure. A few minutes after 9 the cheesemobile arrived with dogs and all. I was informed he had a few stops to make and then we would be on our way. I didn't care what needed to be done as I was just happy to be warm. Soon we were on our way south and being the great man cheezehead is he dropped me off at my front door. So I must say thank you, thank you, thank you cheezehead for all that you've done these past few days. From the boxes of wood that helped to keep me warm last night to the ride home today. Thank You cheezehead. |

While it is indeed southwest here is the way cheesehead explained it. For him it is southeast from the direction he should have been going so that does make sense. |
