Have you tried contacting dmnrec about Amnicon and Pattison? She is a geocacher and now the park manager up there. She might be willing to help with those...they are both great places that are worth the time to visit. Well, all our parks are!

I'd just been letting those that were interested in Trail Bossing approach us. We had several people suggested by others but it was working out well this way. I can contact dmrec about those parks. Thanks T&B

Just put in a call to Azatlan State Park and waiting for a return call.

Sent dmnrec a PM about becoming a Trail Boss. Thanks T&B

Labels and letter went out to the new Trail Bosses today. You'll have them depending on your location tomorrow, Friday or Saturday.

KFH was out and about and scouted some places for Tower Hill SP so add him to the list.

I live about 35 mins from there, the main problem I see is the cost of getting in to check on the cache.. I would cost me $75 a year for a pass to check up on the cache!! Any ideas on how to get one placed there and not have to pay to maintain it? Also I am not sure if it open year round or not..

Rosie, annual passes for State Parks are $25. Not sure that there are any ways around the entrance fee.

This has been my first year of getting my $$$ of a pass.

Many of the state parks also do a 1 hour pass, which is $4. $5 for the day, or $25 for the year. Personally, I think that's well worth it as we visit these parks a lot, but that's for everyone to decide for themselves.

I took a day of vacation and got my tasks completed at both Mirror Lake and Rocky Arbor State Parks. Both are awaiting review and hopefully will be good to go. The park ranger (same for both parks) was an absolute gem to work with. We talked for about a half-hour today and she gave me many ideas about what she thinks would be some great cache placements in the park. That will be next on my radar I guess.

Great job Rick. We'll (I'll) be looking forward to the publishing and then the adopting.

The list of available state parks is getting pretty small. Please consider becoming a Trail Boss.

About 17 parks are unspoken for, can you pick up one?

For Historical significant parks such as Azatlan, we have a contact within the WDNR than will work with us to provide a secure and safe geocache location within the park.

Hm, maybe we could create a WGA EarthCache for Azatlan? I could do that!

From Sherry Wise the WDNR Chief Naturalist
"As for Aztalan, Copper Culture, and other historical sites, we can probably work with the property managers to ensure that caches are placed in appropriate areas ... If you have a specific contact person who’d like to work on Aztalan, let me know and I can connect them with the property manager. "

Let's stay true to the Traditional caches. Keep in mind these could very well be the 1st caches a person ever finds.
