Voting starts next week, and with so many questions and so many answers, I have seen the strengths of so many candidates in these forums. Before I vote, however, I will be going back over the questions and answers to see which four candidates stand out enough to make me want to vote for them.

Are you one of those candidates? Sum up what you want to say about your run for the BOD and why I should vote for you. I'm the judge in the finals of a dog show, comparing the best of the best.... Deliver your knockout punch here and make me see that you really want it and that you should be chosen Best in Show and get my vote!

(I have opened the door here should anyone want to ask the "puppies or kittens" question now.)

Quite frankly, every candidate running for the BOD are all well qualified candidates. NO matter who gets enough votes, the WGA will continue to improve. As for myself, my entire "platform" runs on Outdoor Ethics. With the explosion of geocaching, Outdoor Ethics is a huge concern in the conservation arena. Believe me, the public is not blind on this great activity. However, this activity can come with a bad rap. The WGA has done alot of good with advocating CITO's across the state. This is good. Yet, there are other areas in which we need improvements on. Example- invasive species. If I am not mistaken, cache placements have been limited because of this. How does these invasive species gets transmitted from one place to another? How can we limit this impact? That is where Leave No Trace and Outdoor Ethic Education comes into play! As a Leave No Trace Master Educator and Wisconsin State Advocate, I bring to the table the knowledge, skills, and connections to handle these issues. I may not be the best planner, or have all the geocaching answers to every question, but Awareness. This outdoor awareness iswhat I do have is a high passion to promote Outdoor Ethic something that is in the WGA Bylaws.

Thank you!

The two previous years I had also been asked if I would run for the Board. Previously work schedules and family commitments didn't allow me the time to be the Work Horse needed. I also didn't feel that I had invested enough time volunteering/running events to get a feel of "What It Takes". That has changed.

I've co-chaired 2 WGA events, been a part of the Geocoin committees and I run the WGA's Facebook page. When I accepted the offer to be the "Social Media Coordinator" I tried to remain behind the scenes. It was about getting people involved, talking, sharing and creating a community of WI geocachers.

After several discussions with current BOD members about what is really expected of a Board Member, I now have a full understanding of the commitment necessary and I am all-in.

When you are passionate about something, you want to share it with everyone. That's how I am with caching and the WGA. I'm a people person and can't wait to show others how this sport can change their outlook to life. I want to offer my time and leadership to help lead the WGA by growing membership, showing everyone what a great state full of wonders we have to explore and work towards maintaining a high awareness around keeping our caching privileges as open as they are now.

This is what I have to offer.

It's been humbling to know that someone thought highly enough of me to suggest this nomination.

Many thanks to those who have taken time to come up with the questions and to all of you that have taken the time to read the responses.

Not sure how I missed this question earlier, sorry about that. Yes, I would like to be involved with the WGA. I think it's a great organization and I'd love to be a part of it. I think that the WGA does a lot of good for geocachers around Wisconsin. One thing that I have tried to do myself is that when someone logs my caches that is new to the game I reach out and welcome them and offer them help or to answer questions. Being supportive can go a long way to helping players of the game learn the ropes and maintain the integrity of the rules and etiquette. I try to be friendly and encouraging with others as I know that I appreciated that when I was "learning the ropes".

Not all who wander are lost, some are geocaching.
