I think that it is trying to place me at the nearest road/address to the coords.
42.72237 -89.45267 does not change it. It is the address to a house that is just to the north. When I start to slowly adjust the north coord to be a little farther south, it then jumps to Reubens Cave Drive, which is also too far east.
Strange that I see the JKK&KIDS has his in the middle of the lake. LOL!! |
Wayne, it's just a map. Go with the flow and give us something in the neighborhood. Then write on your name blurb that you live in a cave. |

I am going with the flow, but just need to get closer to the river so that the raft would flow properly.
I am close enough now that the annual spring flood should pick me up just fine!
Thanks TBC. I know that this is something new and as a developer, I know that things need tweeking when they are new. Thanks for putting this together, as it is a nice addition to the site. |

Wayne... I can pretty much assure you that nobody is looking that closely.

I'm on the map now too. I might be listed at my actual home address, or I could be listed at the neighborhood city bus stop, or I could even be listed in the hospital I was born in.

I think the map function is pretty spiffy, and I keep checking it to see if any spots are filling in.
And I don't have anything else to add. Just making post #13,000 in the Announcements forum. |

The main forum page shows Topics and Posts. I saw 12,999 in Posts just sitting there for a while, and I couldn't take it any longer. And I could have chosen any topic in the Announcements forum to post in, but I chose this one because I think the map function is cool.
Hey, if bots can dredge up ten-year-old topics, I can revive this one after a few days to draw more attention to it. |

Neat feature!
I'm abstaining until a list of icon's are made like emoticons (with the one I want) or I'm the last person to put my name on...
but for fun I might put one on the squirrels house... MUHAHAHAHA |
