There have been a few occasions when I wish I had two GPSr's. I am usually caching alone or with my kids. The situtation happened again today. I was working on Mr. G's Woodland creatures puzzle cache and now that I am home I realized I went near some caches that I did not even know that I was near. If I had 2 GPSr's I could have one set to the cache I am working on and the other checking what other caches are near by. I noticed the same thing with some multi's. How do you deal with this???

I have a garmin 450T and I just load up all the caches near by where I am caching then when I am working on a cache I just keep changing the cords for that one in the gps and I also can see all the caches located near me so I dont mis any lol. I hope this works or I do have a gps I might sell if interested lol. I want to get a Kindle Fire.

I have a kindle fire. It is a nice way I can check my email and FB quick without starting up the computer.

As long as we can get cellular reception, we use our smartphone and geocaching app for impromptu checks for caches in the surrounding area. This works well for situations such as you're describing here, or while traveling on/off road, and finding ourselves with some extra time, such as when staying overnight in some strange land.............

Pre-planning and loading up our GPSr ahead of time, doesn't work well if you don't know where you're going........................... Smile Smile

I just bypass them normally. I love puzzles and many times I drive/walk right past the traditionals. It's not about the numbers for me, so I'm not concerned about these that I pass on the way.

I always review all the caches in the area I will be caching in and then create a list and plot them on the map. I can then determine which sequence I want to find them. If the caches are spread out in a larger area where I have to drive from caches to caches I load them into Nuvi and she takes me to the area.

If you have a smart phone download the geocaching app, when I've been able to get serious about the number of caches I want in a day I have it and my garmin 60 series loaded up.

While caching I bounce between both because the 60 is more accurate and the phone holds more cache info.
