This was our second West Bend Cache ba$h event, and it nudged out last year to rate as the Greatest Ever! Many Thanks to all those that made it happen!
Especially liked the electrically-charged, tropical storm-themed special effects! |

Tired after 10 months of planning and spending the last 3 days in West Bend. Thanks to everyone who attended the Ca$h Ba$h and especially to those who visited our caches at Pike Lake. Sunshine and I are enjoying reading all of the logs and apologize for the mud at Pike Lake - South. Think of it as the sequel to last year's Frog Pond and what an accomplishement conquering the mud was for you. We hope you all had a great time and look forward to seeing you on the trails and at events during the next year. See you all at the Ba$h again next year.

Had a blast as usual...even though my GPS and I were barely on speaking terms. Came away with lots of event and non-event finds as well as great memories of folks met on trail and friends seen once again. I look forward to my 5th year in a row...
Thanks to all who make this so much fun. I predict 800 teams next year. |

We had a great time caching with you guys through the monsoon inside the Ice Age Trails. That will be one to talk about for years to come. This was our first Mega and we all had a blast.
Not to mention winning $100 in the cash drawing on Saturday really made it memorable. |

This was my second bash, and I came into it with a better understanding of what it was about. Managed to find all but one of the event caches, opting to drive through the thunderstorm, rather than sit and wait for it to let up. |

It was really great to see everyone having a good time despite the occasional burst of rain.
I'm also having fun reading all the logs from the event and my own local cache hides.
Let the event committee know if you have comments of praise or specific suggestions for improvement so that we can continue to make each Ba$h a fun event for all! I read all the comments (good and bad) and pass them on to the Chamber and committee. We take everything into consideration and make decisions based on your collective likes and dislikes.
Looking forward to 2012,

Greatest ever - hands down!
I didn't think I'd be able to attend until the last minute when the wife said let's go. Even being 41 weeks pregnant we cached through Pike Lake and ended up with 11 smileys for the day. |

Had a great time despite sliding on wet rocks Sunday going after one of the sports themed caches and busting the screen on our relatively new GPSmap 62s. After going strong Friday and Saturday morning we fell short by 26 caches (and 5 caches short of #200). Actually on the phone with Garmin atm with a 15-20 minute wait.
My favorite was the fishing cache because I was the only one who believed GZ was in the water and was willing to do the wading!
Once the GPS went down we hung around the park and had the opportunity to talk to a few people which was nice!
The 2011 WGA coins are really nice. Glad I was able to pick one up.
Thanks to the organizers/hiders. Can't wait for next year. |
