Hey Southwestern Wisconsin. We are tentatively planning on having a geocaching event in West Salem, WI on Sunday April 29th. I'm working together with several cachers from the immediate area on the specifics of the event itself. I'll be submitting an Event Page on geocaching dot com as soon as I get a little more information. If anyone is interested in helping us out or maybe donating something, please contact me either through this thread or through my profile on the geocaching web site.
Thanks, Brett |

Hi Brett,
We'll place a cache somewhere right before the event, but probably won't get to play much that day. It's the same weekend as the Northlands Storytelling Network conference in Madison. Storytelling aces caching for Birdin', especially since this year she takes over as President-Elect.
Something I still don't quite understand how it came to pass.
It's hard to find a time that works for everyone, thanks for all the good work getting this ball rolling for this part of WI! |

Funny thing is about 1 year ago I asked them about putting a cache on their trails and they said sure but ALL geocachers would have to pay to use the trail(s). This is a big no no.
So, what is the status of the coming event? Is there one? |

I have not heard anything so I figured Brett and Tim had
it set. It is a busy time of year so maybe they got sidetracked. I'm sure Brett will let us know if another organizing meeting or our help is needed. Maybe we could get together to strategize a few of us going for the latest coin quest? Pam |
