We are planning an evening meeting and social event for all Wisconsin geocachers for Tuesday Jan. 14, 2003 at the Trysting Place Pub in Germantown. Our purpose is to discuss items of interest to all WGA members. In particular we will talk about an upcoming DNR meeting that GrouseTales and kbraband have been invited to attend to discuss the proposed geocaching policy for Wisconsin State Parks. If you would like to hear about this upcoming DNR meeting and offer your comments and suggestions, please attend the Jan. 14 geocachers meeting. If you cannot attend this event but would like to be involved with the discussion, you will have the chance to read about what we discussed and give your input at the WGA website forums. We will post minutes of the meeting in the forum and we welcome your feedback there.
In addition to the meeting, we will also have fun! Come on over and order from the menu. We plan to order from the menu at 6 p.m. and start the meeting at 6:45 p.m. We hope to see you there.
This meeting is listed as an event cache with geocaching.com.

Bring your FRS walkie talkies. Since there is no sound system at the pub, we will be utilizing the FRS repeater system. Everyone should tune to channel 8. The repeater will help us reach from one end of the table to the other

Let's put together an agenda for next Tuesday's meeting. If you plan to attend and have topics you would like us to discuss, please leave a post here to include it on the agenda.
Here are some starter topics for the agenda:
- DNR state parks geocaching policy update from GrouseTales and kbraband
- WGA campout, overview of the planning, your suggestions for group geocaching activities
- WGA regular get-togethers. Other geocaching orgs have monthly meetings such as Saturday breakfasts or evening meetings. Do we want to try something similar perhaps on a regional basis? |

We had very good turnout with more than 20 attending our first ever WGA non-caching meeting and social event this evening. Look for minutes of the meeting to be posted somewhere in the forums soon (we'll make sure you know where to find them). Photos from the event are online now in the photo album... well as soon as I get done typing this message I'm going to upload them. |

I am very glad to have met the humans behind the geocaches. I take back all of the bad things I have muttered while searching for their caches. No, really, I do. Really.
I feel fortunate to have joined a group of people concerned about the environment and enjoying the sport of geocaching. |

Now, do you expect us to take back the things we have muttered about you?

Nah! I am sure that they are as equally as good. Something like, , Boy! that RPaske. What a fabulous guy! (winks and smiles) |
