I am packed and leaving in 13 hours. I don't think I will make it to see the sunrise on Lake Superior, but I will be close.

Safe travels, BBG! Get some good pics of the sea caves!

Returning from Miami today. Sorry, not paying $35 for a bag of sunshine and warm weather.

Safe travels, VG. I am worried that the plane might be overweight with all the extra shirts you are taking along wink

VG, you are not flying the plane out there and back yourself in one day with a lengthy hike in the snow and cold between the "there" and the "back".

Besides, you're always on autopilot when it comes to going to Vegas. And since I do care if your plane crashes, I will wish you safe travels, VG!
And no temperature updates from there! Evil or Very Mad

Waiting to watch the snow fort building event. Which day are they holding that one in Sochi?

I had a blast this morning. My company partners with a number of local schools on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) initiative. This morning I got to be a mentor at Puzzle Cube day for 2 sessions (on company time considering we're a sponsor). The students went through a design process to build a 3x3x3 cube of wooden pieces (with a few constraints). We got to attempt to solve each of the unique puzzles as well as review the design process. Very cool to interact with the students picking their brains on "What didn't work well in the process?", "What would you do differently next time?", "What was your biggest challenge?", etc. I'm on a bit of a puzzle high!!!

Anyone coming up with one of those personal geocaches?

Yep. They're pretty lame in my opinion though if used right out of the box. The basic design is go someplace, find some value, enter value, get the smiley. A potential replacement for virtuals to validate the info, but I'm not sure if there's a "proximity" requirement which could certainly eliminate armchair logging. It also requires a smartphone (not a GPSr) which is an interesting twist.

I'm actually working up a multi-point version which gets pieces of the final answer at the locations which then get assembled into a single answer (i.e. puzzle / multi hybrid). Thinking of sharing the link with the community and first to complete gets the credit. One of the "gotcha's" is that only 1 person can "find" it. Once the find is made, others can do it but they can't enter the final value to get the credit. Obviously this last requirement is to just keep it very experimental for now but let the masses try it out.
