I'd love to find an easy way to look at highly favorited caches around the state and compare the percentage of favorites to total finds, the way sandlanders did. Looking at the first page of favorites for the state, 13 of the 20 are located in the southeastern part of the state, centered around West Bend. I am in no way suggesting that there aren't great caches over there. There are. We've done a large percentage of those favorites and agree. I just know that between the fact that the majority of cachers live in that part of the state and there's a big Mega event there every year, the favorites get slanted to that corner.

Can people share caches from other parts of our state that have a high percentage of favorites? It might help those traveling around zero in on those caches that are really great, but due to low numbers of visits, don't show in those Top Ten lists.

I'll suggest a couple.....

http://coord.info/GC3KFFR
Cache at the Falls, near Washburn 11 favorites 49 finds

http://coord.info/GCNMJF
Lost Falls, near Cornucopia 23 favorites 106 visits
I think it would have more favorites than it does, but it's an older cache and unless previous finders looked to add it after the favorites thing came out, it would get missed

http://coord.info/GC10XXQ
Eagle Source south of Three Lakes 21 favorites 41 finds

Share others you've discovered. There are so many!

Favorite points are awarded to premium members, so many people who find caches can't "favorite" them, whether they like them or not. On each cache page in the top right is the favorites box, and by dropping down the menu, you can see the percentage of premium finders who favorited that cache.

Here are a few of our favorites from around the state. I will keep going through our list and seeing what else I can find.

Ashland Mural Walk- GC3F1MT (in Ashland)

Wayside Cavernous Cache - GCA37C (south of Coloma)

Along the Trail - GCGRAM (south of Coloma)

We haven't done the mural walk...yet...but agree with the other two. Notice none are non-traditionals, either, other than the mural one. I think the poor traditional gets maligned, because they do tend to contribute to the simple numbers. Our one traditional on our list of owned caches is pretty much a p/g, too, but I think people are surprised at what and where they have to go to locate the actual cache (which was placed kind of as a joke initially).

This is a multi south of Sauk city. Not the easiest one out there, as you have to teach yourself a bit of orienteering, but a really gorgeous area. Fifty percent premium member favorites.

Agree with Sandlanders on the three caches mentioned. We haven't done the whole mural walk but have enjoyed the murals in Ashland. Will have to do the whole series the next time we are up there. It also reminded us that we just loved Wayside Cavernous Cache and went back and gave it a favorite point as we had done it way back in 2007. I don't know why I like it as I got a tick bite and it was probably the source of my Lymes that developed after that trip. Crawling on my belly through the rocks was probably not the best idea. When will I learn to act my age. Mrs. S.

---> White River (Multiple Crossings) - GC24QEF (west of Wautoma)

---> What a long, strange trip it's been - GCXAMN (SW of Hillsboro, E of LaFarge)

---> WWR #108- The "Hole in the Wall" Dynamite Shack - GC26QP6 (North of Hayward)

Here's another trip down memory lane for you, Team Sloughfoot:
---> I KNOW AN ARTESIAN, WELL - GCJMT2 (Briggsville multi)

Another oldie from well before "favorite" points:
---> Point Detour - GC6F04 (the northernmost cache in Wisconsin)
