Crap has yet to start falling here. Maybe they'll be wrong again and it won't do squat.

Yes, we've been watching out for a repeat of last month's basement flooding here, too. So far, so good.

As for this weather? Well, I was reading through old newsletters from our local historical society. This morning, looking at the one from May 2011, they reprinted pictures and a little story from April 21 of that year. A kid riding his bike through unshoveled snow in front of one of the historical homes, and a sidebar article mentioning a prediction of another 6 inches later that week.

How quickly we forget!

Yup, today is my daughter's birthday. I believe we've had snow on her birthday twice before in the 13 years. This is nothing new.

1. Yep, it is raining.

2. Going to check on a basement tonight before making an offer. The sump pump cistern is there. They have a new pump in a box, but it appears the bank foreclosed before the install. I guess I am being over cautious, but I want to see a dry floor before I start the negotiation dance.

3. The Jackson park CITO is going to be a bit muddy. I just left St. Luke's Hospital (friend not dad) and the park had a few more lagoons.

4. VG way to bring home a win.

good day

We were in the house during last week's monsoon. There was a little water around the chimney. It needs a new Chimney cap. But, I just want to check again to be sure. The basement is framed out with no dry wall. I was worried that there was a flood and the previous owners ran into financial trouble rectifying the problem.
