We need to buy a new tent for the campout and a few other things we have planned for the summer. Any recommendations? Any brand that's particularly good or bad? Right now Sherpers in Hales Corners has all their last year's model tents on sale for 30% off. |

I recommend something from KZ, Cougar or Passport, about 28 feet in length 1/2 ton towable.
Set up in minutes and have your own hot shower. |

Personally, I'm rather fond of Hennessy Hammocks. |

I wish! But a trailer isn't practical for us for a variety of reasons I'm afraid. |

Northface, REI, Black Diamond, and some Kelty's are all good tents. I would try to go for the tents with aluminum poles instead of fiberglass. One thing I have found out with tents is that you do pay for what you get.
On the other hand, if you do not do alot of camping, then Colemans work well also. |

We like to camp in all weather so we only use canvas tents. We bought a new Kodiak tent last year. It's a #6121 12' x 9' cabin tent. We have used it in 35 degree temperature and stayed warm. It takes two to set it up, but we can do it in 10 minutes. Got it online from Competitive Edge Products. EEvery nylon tent we ever owned leaked. Our canvas tent is winter rated. |

Eureka Timberline Tents are pretty good tents and very easy to put up. They may be a little pricey, but if you do some searching, you should be able to find some deals. My dad has had the same one for over 30 years now. He had not used it in about 10 years, but we used it on a fishing trip a couple of years ago and no problems what so ever. |

Eureka was another brand that we considered. They also rated very high. We previously had a canvas Wildwood tent made by Laacke and Joy, but they are no longer made. That one lasted 30 years with no leaks. |

We still use our Eureka Willow 10x10 tent. Got it in 1988. Nylon. No leaking, but don't touch the sides in a rainstorm. |

We bought the eureka outfitter4, it was great with wind and rain. we've only used it a few times, but the first time we had rain and wind every night and stayed nice and dry! Good luck! |
