It's a question we all want the answer to. If so, what kind, and if not, why not? |

Although if you are discussing having a pie tossed, lesson learned is not to use ones with real whipping cream due to the sour milk smell it leaves on clothing or chocolate because it stains .. lol .. |

Coconut Cream is my favorite pie. Pecan is a close second! |

AuntieNae brings up a good point. What is the purpose of this pie?
Is it a duel at 10 paces? If so, you'll want something with a little heft and maybe a top crust to hold integrity. I suggest apple.
Is it a sneak pie to the face? If so, try something with a lot of "squishy" like any pie with a pudding for a filling.
To eat? Pumpkin. |

Pumpkin Pie and then a good homemade Apple Pie would have to be my second choice. |

I am a big fan of pie and for years I have hidden this fact from casual acquantinces- only close family members are aware of this.
Pecan pie (whether called by the Pea-Con name or the more Hoosier version of Pa-kahn) is my absolute favorite. Othershave been enjoyed but none to the degree if this type.
I am a firm believer that pies should be desserts therefore Pot Pies are not really pies since they are full of meat and just a sad attempt to confuse those who were excited at the possibility of "pie" for dinner, only to find out it was really just a beef stew with a hat.
Pizza pie won't really be discussed- no one really calls it that since the 1950s (back when times were more confusing, we are much mor enlightened these days). |

Nope, I LOVE pie! After creating a few geo-cakes for events and my daughter's birthday and posting the pictures on facebook I have been dubbed "the cake lady" by cachers that don't really know my name.
But really, I definitely prefer pie. The best pie in the whole world can be found at the Norske Nook in Osseo. If you ever get the chance to stop there DO IT!!! |
