My son and I went out on Thanksgiving day to the above cache, and spent probably 45 minutes climbing up inside the bowls of this beautiful old box-bridge. Hint says the cache contains a magnet, so we obviously stuck to the metal surfaces. No luck.

If anyone has done this one before, I would love a hint!

Northside? Southside?
Inside? Outside?
Close to stone wall? ... Closer to water?

Thanks in advance.

Chiz

This cache is a 3/4.5 D/T rating. you need to expect that it will be a difficult one. noticing your D/T chart, you have yet to get into the higher D or T rated caches. Give yourself the chance to learn from these DNF'd caches before looking for hints so quickly. Ask around and you will find there are many cachers who have put in much more time on a cache than 45 minutes and have persisted until the find is made even if it takes numerous return trips. finding it after a hint can really make the experience a bit lackluster and not as memorable.

please also note that this cache has a 50 percent find rate, you are not alone in not finding it.

Took us two tries to get this one, both times in the company of hack1of2. It's really not that hard. It just takes a lot of persistance since there are 1000 possible hiding spots. here's a hint: it's magnetic.

Now I'm intrigued! Maybe I'll head out there some day and give this a whirl. Good luck rfchisholm!

Try finding lower D/T caches by this cache owner. It will give you an idea how the CO likes to hide their caches.

I was FTF on that cache. It is not really that hard just many places it could be. I remember the cords as pretty close to spot on. Bring a light and dont bump your head.

If I remember right the coordinates were within 5'. That is horizontally, vertically is another thing.

I had to do extensive Photoshop touchup to make him look that good, but with the end result I have to agree with you! Razz

No Photoshop needed (though I think he'd love it if I could give him back his hair and dark brown beard!)

Been at a few bridge hides myself. So many hiding spots. I found one in Peshtigo that took me several visits. Bridge hides are difficult sometimes.
