I love it! I love the National Park System - I've had the passport book for 20+ years - it's in rough shape and full of taped in/stapled in stamps, but I still got it. Was also into the National Park trading cards with several nieces and a nephew. Most of us completed the first set, but the second set is getting hard to find. I'm also a contributor to Waymarking's National Passport Stamp category, so this challenge was right up my alley.
Anyhow, do I have a question. When you say
"“Any type…” that means that any type of abbreviation qualifies: NP, NM, NHS, etc."
does that mean any abbreviation that you already list on the Bingo card, or anything that is under www.nps.gov? I ask because Niagara Falls ( http://www.nps.gov/nifa/index.htm ) is a National Heritage Site, listed under the NPS website but isn't one of the abbreviations listed on the card.
I'm hoping it counts - then I'll have a bingo! If not I'll be kicking myself for not getting a cache while at Mammoth Cave last year or New River Gorge this year. If I could go back to pre-caching days I'd have all but one square filled in. Did I mention that I love our National Parks? |

Very cool! I just got my passport the summer before last and have quite a few cancellations. Once I got it we've really gotten into stopping at sites on our many road trips. I have family all over the country so with a little creativity with our routes we should be able to keep visiting new sites.
Yes, that would count. On the "any type" I meant that any abbreviation at all from the National Park Service would count. Archived caches count too. I would guess that archived caches from Cav Scout will pop up in there. I'm going to make sure that I put that on the cache page.
It's nice to hear from another National Park's fan! |

With all of the complaints about crappy logs lately I just have to share that I've gotten 3 of the best logs ever on my new cache. Reading them has been truly touching! So there you go, it's not all TFTC's out there. |
