Was Cache Container Present: No, no pieces of the cache were found
Cache Rescue Mission #1007
Stopped today to pick this one up, and get rid of the container. We spent over 30 minutes with 2 people and two GPS receivers and could not find anything. All we were able to find was one large dormant hornets nest, but not the cache container. I believe this container is gone.

I spent a good 35-40 minutes looking "Within" and found nothing. Nothing EXCEPT the bees. They're the little hornets that are tough to see. I'm glad I knew about them going in because I kept a watchful eye. The spot where they are is the middle of a large tree trunk about 2 ft in diameter laying N-S about 5 ft from the edge of the tree line. The cache may be there, but I wasn't about to stick my hand in that hole. To really confirm if this cache is gone will require someone that has found it before and owns a bee suit. I tried. |
