12/18/2014 at 11:38 pm #2032652The Hobbit movies are too dissimilar to the book for me to really enjoy. Too much left out and too much put in. Legolas?

12/19/2014 at 7:34 am #2032655Odd publishing of some of WA’s new caches …. email says new and then when I open them in GC, they are archived.

Perhaps they are his caches for the event tomorrow and were published early? But some are active and have been found… maybe he enabled them after you checked. My message said they are bookmarked on the event page, but I don’t see it. That’s ok, I can find them other ways. 😉
12/19/2014 at 4:01 pm #2032657I’ve been having trouble accessing the website the last two days…WA changed my password and now I can get in…still been getting Internal Server Error messages though.
I went to see the Hobbit yesterday too…BBG was right…that’s one lo-o-ong fight scene. I read the book years ago…don’t remember the war of the 5 armies…may have to reread it this winter, although I think Noonan is right. The writers’ took some/lot of literary leeway.
Am looking forward to a couple of the winter solstice events tomorrow…might even hobble over to a couple of caches with my winter logging equipment:)
Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

He probably meant not to activate them when he made the cache pages.
12/19/2014 at 5:13 pm #2032659Yes, they got enabled shortly after I posted.
12/19/2014 at 7:47 pm #2032660Oh my poor knees! We decided to head to Oxbow Park west of Rochester today. We’ve cached there before, but stuff got archived and new stuff put in, so….
That place is serious hill work and Trekkin’ was asked…nicely…. to stay on the trails this time, even if it takes longer to get there. Did…not…happen. My knees are in tough shape tonight. Usually I wake up the next day and I’m fine. Hope that’s the case….Christmas Bird Count is tomorrow!
12/20/2014 at 6:47 am #2032667Good Morning. Heading to a little north to welcome winter today.
