      Off to lookup 14er

A 14er is a mountain whose summit is at least 14,000 feet high. I believe it also hashas to have 300 feet of prominence, except that I don’t really understand what that means.

Oh the woes of the short geocacher!

Trying to get an EC approved out at Devil’s Garden. The reviewer states I need to state I have approval from the land manager to place the cache. I can’t find out who the land manager is, if there is one. The reviewer didn’t respond to my question to this effect. Hmm

Are there any other caches nearby?

Two regulars are within the lava flow.

Ha!  That’s great!  I actually made a puzzle cache 2 or 3 years ago about 14ers out in the southern kettle moraine SF but it got denied because the place I’d put it was a SNA.  I was so disappointed, I had found a letterbox right there.  They don’t need permission.  But it was a pretty high spot with a great view.

Did you try contacting them to ask where they got their permission?  Or maybe they’d know if it was public land or not?

Tomorrow sounds like it might be a good day to go caching.  There are some nice hikes to be had near Wautoma.  The FOTD tomorrow at the Wautoma blue-roofed place is mint chip.  Does anyone see where I am going with this?  😉

I do, Pat.  But I know you all too well!

My adventures will be taking me to the yoga studio tomorrow and Sunday.  I’m doing a workshop there tomorrow, then assisting after that.  Sunday I will kill myself at candlelight slow flow (although last Sunday didn’t seem quite as much a killer as the week before).  I figure I can watch any Superbowl commercials I miss online.  The game is meaningless to me at this point!

We had our adventures the previous three days, so I’m good there.

I’ve been trying to work on two 5D puzzles this morning.  Ah!  My brain hurts!

I have a college student there that needs a job, maybe she could help. She knows this caching stuff.

                  Which two 5D puzzles?

GC184AN and GC51A84.  The second I’ve already logged as found because my friends who were driving me around for the Janboree had solved it and I was along for the ride when we signed the log.  But I’m determined to legitimately solve it so I don’t have to feel guilty about claiming the find.

Duh! I read 5D and went to 5 dimensional. Them’s some complicated puzzles.

Just got the computer back up, after it was in the hospital for 5 days. There wasn’t much to do at 3 AM this past week!
